My Story

My name is Casper, and welcome to my ecommerce branding blog!
I have over 20 years of experience in ecommerce and branding and bought and sold countless domain names.
My fascination with ecommerce started in 1993 when I joined the export department of a large European steel manufacturer. Since then, I have had sales and marketing roles in large international firms across many different industries. And I have traveled to over 20 countries.
Being entrepreneurial, I left the corporate world to pursue my interests. It included starting a private-label supplement company under my brand name and selling products on my Shopify store.

Many sites deal with branding, ecommerce, or domain names, but not all three topics. They do not deal specifically with choosing a brand name and domain name for ecommerce. Choosing the right brand name and domain name is critical as they are hard to change afterward.
BrandMoth helps you choose a brand name and brandable domain name for your ecommerce startup.
Choosing a brand and domain name for your ecommerce startup might seem easy. However, there are many kinds of brand names, and the longer you think about it, the more difficult it becomes to decide.
Whether you need a brand name for dropshipping private label products or selling your products on Amazon or your Shopify store, you should start your business on a solid foundation.
Note: I will list some brandable domains for sale that are ideal for ecommerce use.
Why I chose the name BrandMoth for my blog
One of the frequently asked questions I receive is why I chose BrandMoth as the name of my blog.
BrandMoth or Brand Moth is a compound brand name (sometimes called a conjoined brand name) – combining two or more words to create a brand name.
Although compound names can make good ecommerce brand names, BrandMoth does not. However, BRAND is directly related to the topic of my blog, and MOTH is intriguing, making it memorable.
In addition, I read an interesting article about what moths symbolize on wikiHow. Moths can represent change, transformation, and growth, so it is a good fit!
Here are some of the lessons I have learned in my 55 years on this planet:
- Never become complacent. Things can change in an instant.
- We’re all human. We make mistakes. Get over it!
- Never stop learning!
- Job security doesn’t exist. Create multiple income streams.
- Do something for yourself today that your future self will thank you.
- There’s no such thing as a problem that doesn’t come with a gift.
- We’ve all had challenges to face. But most people don’t talk about it.
- Most successful entrepreneurs have failed multiple times.
- The path to success is very seldom a straight line.
- Never compare yourself with others. We’re all on separate journeys.
- Don’t care what others think of you. They’re entitled to their thoughts.
- Always put yourself first. It’s not selfish but SMART.
- It’s okay to take small steps as long as you move forward.

- You’re capable of so much more than you think. Believe in yourself!
- You’ll never receive a challenge that you can’t learn to overcome.
- As long as you don’t quit, you can never fail.
- Nobody is perfect. Don’t be so hard on yourself.
- You always have a choice. Don’t be afraid to say NO when you need to.
